The Praying Congress

We gathered at Heritage CRC in Byron Center, Michigan for the annual Calvinist Cadet Corps board meeting called Cadet Congress. The general purpose of this meeting is to take care of the "business" of cadeting. Proposals for additions or changes to the ministry of cadeting are dealt with and information about budget, staff, and events are reviewed.

But with a fewer than normal number of proposals, the congressmen had some time to do some visioning for the ministry and the foundation for that visioning was prayer. Praise and prayer are always an important part of the congress gatherings but prayer was the top priority at congress 2010. It was an incredible blessing to have many purposeful opportunities to pray along side our fellow counselors. We hope that as you view these images from congress you will be in prayer for the cadeting ministry — the organization, the councils, the clubs, and the men and boys who need your support in their daily walk — Living for Jesus.
