Regional Conferences are a great way for your counselor's to get the training they need in a way that doesn't require a lot of time and travel. Contact the Cadet Corps Training Coordinator for information on conferences that are planned for your area.
On Saturday, November 4, 2006 the North Central and South Central Regions of the Calvinist Cadet Corps offered their 8th annual counselor training conference. The Grand Valley Council hosted the event at Woodhaven Reformed Church in Byron Center, Michigan. The theme of the conference was the same as this season's Cadet Theme -- Shaped for Service (2 Timothy 2:15). We'd like to thank the Regional Training Coordinators, Terry Kimber and Lee Dobbs and especially the men of Grand Valley Council who put together a great line-up of workshop leaders and provided a great facility and lunch for the attendees. The conference has continued to grow each year and this year it reached a new high of over 120 participants. The Lord has truly blessed this event! The pictures on this and other linked pages will give you a good idea at how successful the regional conference has become. If you are a counselor in the North Central or South Central region — make sure you plan on attending next year's conference, and if you are a member of another region look for these types of conferences coming to your area.
