Cadet Sporting Clay Shoot – 2015

The first, of what is being planned as an annual fundraising event, took place at the Blendon Pines Gun Club, just north of Zeeland, Michigan, on August 22.
There were 37 registered participants at the event. It was a beautiful morning, and no one was seriously injured. (Not even a non serious injury… )
The event started at 9 a.m. with prayer and opening announcements, and then off to shoot things!!
Approx $6100 was brought in through registration fees and sponsorships. The participants had to rotate through 12 stations. Trophies were given based on scoring using the Lewis Class scoring system.

There were three tiers of shooters
Tier 3 – 1st place Jacob Heim, 2nd place – Kellen Keck, 3rd place – Doug Vantimmeren
Tier 2 – 1st place – Todd VanderLugt, 2nd place – Dan Mast, 3rd place – Phil Kok
Tier 1 – 1st place – Dave Mast, 2nd place Jeff DeGraaf, 3rd place – Scott Plaggemars

So – Dave Mast was the big winner.

First place team was made up of Scott Plaggemars, Michael Kortering, Dan Mast and Todd VanderLugt. Second place team was made up of Don Kloosterhouse, Brett Visser and Gary Gruppen.
Two raffle prizes were donated – a Henry rifle and a $100 Standard Lumber gift card. Those were raffled off at lunch.
