2026 February Cadet Quest
Our February quest explores the mighty mountains, one of God’s natural symbols of standing firm.
Before we begin our climb, let’s check in at base camp with counselor Steve to read about what he has to say about the issue.
Ascending the first path, we meet up with Paulie and his friends. Paulie appears a little nervous about the adventure his friends have invited him on. Read about his thrilling experience in Paulie Panics by Karen M. Leap.
This summer’s Kamp Longview is set against the Canadian Rockies, where there are spectacular views of mountains.
On your way to your next trail, stop here for some awesome and surprising mountain facts.
The climbing badge will motivate you to learn about the various gear and safety procedures so you’ll be ready for your first climb.
And speaking of gear, one of this month’s lessons features an important spiritual item we can wear every day to remind us that we are forgiven and loved.
Build a mountain of your own, complete with pulley systems to get a couple climbers to the peak.
Up ahead, we meet up with Danny and his dad pitching a tent for the night. Danny’s dad is holding on to a memory of this place that is making him feel a bit uneasy. Find out what it could be in Crumbling Mountains by Emily Aker.
At a nearby rock face, we meet Eli Connley, an experienced mountaineer and director of Climbers for Christ.
People aren’t the only living things we encounter on our journey. Meet some of the wild creatures that call these mountains home.
Test your mind with a puzzle that offers a couple ways to solve it. Will you move your way up or down the mountain?
Well, we made it back down to base camp, where we find Casey learning a new language to blend in with the locals.
Enjoy the rest of your time on the mountains and we’ll see you back for the next Cadet quest.
