Craft Project – Harmonica
Get a band together – starting with this harmonica!
Follow these instructions (and the video) to make your own harmonica (and work toward the Music badge)!

What You Will Need
Materials
- Tongue depressors (two)
- Plastic straw
- Wide rubber band (one)
- Small, thin rubber bands (two)
- Scissors
Project Directions
1. Wrap the wide rubber band around one tongue depressor.
2. Place the other tongue depressor on top of the one with the rubber band on it.
3. Secure them together at one end with a small, thin rubber band.
4. Cut two even lengths of straw that are slightly longer than the width of the tongue depressors.
5. Slide one piece of the straw between the depressors and near the thin rubber band.
6. Slide the other straw piece underneath the rubber band the same distance from the other end.
7. Wrap the other thin rubber band around the other end.
8. Ready for playing!
